The Chattanooga Community Kitchen participates as an educational service provider with area schools.
Please continue reading if you need to sign up for hours required by a school - High School, TN Promise, UT Promise or alternate Educational Service Hours.
Only hours scheduled through this sign up page will be credited towards any Educational Service requirements.
How It Works
Service hours are completed in 8, 5 or 3 hour shifts and are available seven days a week.
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old
Note: If you are under 18, a parent or other responsible adult must be present for the entire time
Volunteers must sign up in advance online. We do not take walk-in community service participants
Duties may include Food Service, Block Cleanup, and other general needs as they may arise. Thank you for being flexible.
Volunteers are requested to arrive dressed appropriately for the work that they will be performing. This includes long pants, a modest shirt, and closed toe shoes. While working in the kitchen or dining room, long hair must be pulled back.
If a volunteer signs up but does not show up for their shift three times, they will be unable to serve hours at the CHATT Foundation. If a volunteer signs up and cancels with fewer than 24 hours notice, it will be counted as a no show.
