Court Ordered Community Service

Only hours scheduled through this sign up page will be credited towards any Community Service requirements.

How It Works

  • UPDATE: As of May 2023, we are now reviewing all new community service volunteer requests before reserving your spot to volunteer. You will receive an email upon sign up, and can expect a response within 3 business days.

  • Service hours are completed in 8, 5 or 3 hour shifts and are available seven days a week.

  • Duties may include Food Service, Block Cleanup, and other general needs as they may arise. Thank you for being flexible.

  • All volunteers must be at least 16 years old

Note: If you are under 18, a parent or other responsible adult must be present for the entire time

  • Volunteers are requested to sign up on line and arrive dressed appropriately for the work that they will be performing. This includes long pants, a modest shirt, and closed toe shoes. While working in the kitchen or dining room, long hair must be pulled back.

  • Volunteers will not be able to serve hours if they do not arrive on time for their shift. If an emergency occurs, volunteers must cancel their shift or call the main number and leave a message.

  • After three incidents of no-shows without calling our cancelling, the volunteer will be ineligible to serve at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.

  • If you need daily confirmation of hours, and have your own sheet, please have your supervisor sign the paper. If you need formal documentation printed, emailed, or faxed, please contact our volunteer coordinator 48 to 24 hours in advance.

  • All Community Service Volunteers are subject to a sex offender and active warrant background check.

  • You must read the waiver and check the box on the sign up form. Read here.
